About the Event
Forgotten Fantasies is a pop culture "This is Your Life" styled panel show wherein comedians & local celebrities share memories of obscure shows & movies from their distant past they've never gone back to revisit. We then play and riff on the most absurd clips possible in front of a live audience. Sometimes emotional, sometimes hilarious, always weird.
Featuring gonzo TV & film clips, vintage commercials, & a lot of fuzzy memories.
This month’s Forgotten Fantasy: TOMES & TALISMANS
Superstar guest Andy Iwancio brings us her childhood memories of Tomes & Talismans, a children's series The New Yorker described as: "Quite possibly the finest post-apocalyptic educational series about library science ever produced by Mississippi Public Television."
We will also joined by Portland comedy kingpin, Nariko Ott, who will be riffing on a number of other apocalypse themed shows that may or may not feature libraries.
ALSO featured:
Vintage commercial, waterbeds, fallout shelters, and a video preshow that should not be missed.
About our Guests:
Andy Iwancio: Andy is a transgender gal comedian from Seattle who waxes poetics on being transgender, growing boobs, and then, subsequently, shaking those boobs because of her epilepsy. So, all of that, plus puns.
